All Suits

Frog Suit-allows you to easily swim through water.
Tanooki Suit-allows you to fly and you can also transform into an invincible statue for a few seconds.
Raccoon Suit-allows you to fly and slowly descend.

Those are the ones I remember.

And there's also Hammer Bro. Mario who can shoot hammers. I think each suit can be contained on a certain level.

Frog Suit can be found in Water Land and on the last mushroom house from Desert Land.
Tanooki Suit is found in Sky Land.
Raccoon Suit is found in any level I think.
Fire Mario can be found in any level too.
And Hammer Bro. Mario is found in Pipe Land.

there are also mushrooms, but they just make mario super mario.

The Hammer Bros suit was my favorite. It was really annoying the maneuver. At least when you ducked you were protected.
