Well everyone knows about that guy who finished Mario Bros 3 in like 11 minutes, but what are all your times in this game? Anyone here broken 10 minutes yet?

Notme i haven't even beaten it yet i'm at the last tank in the eighth world.

With warping, I think my time is around 30+ minutes. And without (level by level), it's probably around at 1 hour 15 mins+. I play with caution, I'm not that Gun-Ho.

Around 20 minutes with all the warp pipes being used. Not sure without them. Guess I could set up the ol' NES and find out! ^-^

I think I beat the game in about 15-20 minutes. You gotta love the warping.

hahaha....i remember the warping!! the first one that comes to mind is at the end of sub-level 1......where you use those floating bricks to jump over the wall etc etc and eventually come to 3 or so secret pipelines.


i can't remember how fast i could finish the game....but i remember my sister and her friends used to watch me finish the game 5 times in a row....each time....the timer would run faster, and so did the lil baddies with the cute names that i can't remember.

I've broke the 10 mintues mark several times. Even though I can beat it so fast I still love the game. It's a great classic.

Warping takes all the fun out of it... well... not really... but without is like an hour of um... fun... and the funky music too... I guess it takes me like 25 mins using warp

I'm literally at world class status. I'm time is just under 5 1/2 mins with warping and without grabbing a mushroom. The world record at the moment is 5mins 17secs. Old world record was 5mins and 20secs. Mine if I remember correctly is about 5mins 25-28secs.

Its easy to get to this level. Just practice and practice and completely memorize the stages entirely. But I have been playing this game for 16 years, so I've had TONS of practice. Its my fav game after all.

Also while attempting this, learn how to not blink

I've been able to complete it in around 6 minutes for a while now. Compared to the world record (actually the world record is 5:10 but I couldn't find the stats on that)

0:21 – touches flagpole in stage (1-1)
1:03 – enters warp pipe to stage (4-1)
1:31 – touches flagpole in stage (4-1)
2:17 - enters warp pipe to stage (8-1)
3:02 - touches flagpole in stage (8-1)
3:39 - touches flagpole in stage (8-2)
4:16 - touches flagpole in stage (8-3)
4:37 – enters 1st pipe in stage (8-4)
4:46 – enters 2nd pipe in stage (8-4)
4:54 – enters 3rd pipe in stage (8-4)
5:17 – touches bridge key and completes game under Twin Galaxies rules governing this title

My times a competetive to that up until level 8-2. I havn't gotten very good at the last few levels yet. My best finish so far is 5:54.

Edit: Just got a 5:25 time. I think I can go for sub- 5:20, but it will take some work to shave off those few seconds.
