how did u catch moltres

got him down to half hp(super fang) and then threw 2 great balls, then a pokeball. if i missed, i would shut the game off and try again, since that works for all ledgedaries.

It really helps to add a special condition to the mix. If you had him at 5 HP and asleep, you would be more likely to catch him.

got him down to about 20 hp. Used around 30 Ultra balls. (Not quite sure)

To catch Moltres,you can maybe train a cubone or marowak and get it to learn false swipe. Plus:Do not keep on using ultra balls because,for some reason,pokeballs seem to work better on lengendaries.I have caught moltres,Articuno, and Zapdos with poke balls.False swipe does not kill the pokemon but narrows down its health until it has 1 hp left.But do not use a cubone or marowak on Articuno becos it has ice beam and its super effective against cubone and marowak.Moltres and Zapdos is easy to catch with a cubone or a marowak.just train it to a high level and keep using false swipe and pokeballs but use some great balls and ulra balls too. Buy about 15 to 20 each and bt 25 pokeballs.Try to get it paralyzed or make it sleep BUT DO NOT POISON,BURN OR CONFUSE IT as it may hurt itself and faint b4 you can catch it.
