is this a good party?

lol geodude and shelder r the only ones u spelled correctly. I believe shelder is only in fire red. instead I'd say slowpoke, if u don't normally use it. and instead of caterpie either pidgey or spearow whichever u don't normally use. to b honest I think spearow is a better pokemon at least stat wise, but I could b mistaken.

I believe growlithe is also only in fire red. the counter part is vulpix in leaf green however if u normally use vulpix I'd suggest a magmar. personally I'm a fan of magmar.

Butterfree is probably the worst pokemon in the game. I would drop Caterpie. Also, you would have to trade to get a Golem, so I would drop Geodude in exchange for Aerodactyle or Dugtrio (Dugtrio prevents your opponent from switching out if it has Arena Trap). Growlithe -> Arcanine is an awesome pokemon but has a limited movepool. Shelder -> Cloyster is an awesome team player because using Spikes can really wear down your opponents team. When you get a Venasaur, don't make the mistake of giving it too many grass moves.. Its moveset should look something like this... Sleep Powder, Sludge Bomb/ Toxic, Earthquake, Leech Seed
