Woah this thread has just jumped into action after a month of blank. I too only played Sega Genesis (emulator to be honest) for the Sonic games, but when I was 6 I would spend days wondering when my parents would go to a certain friends house, who had a son who had a Genesis, and I just couldn't wait to play Sonic 2. Shit hot game that.

Actually, I'll add something to the topic as well. Why is it impossible to make a good 3D Sonic Game? (Sonic Adventure 2 was the closest, so barring that...)

Simple really, the concept just doesn't carry over well from 2D to 3D. It's too fast.

Maybe it was my age playing it but I'm with Peek on SA2B. Great game, rest are crap. Sonic games should be easy and blinding. The point is to push forward on the stick/pad and not know what the hell is going on.

My god is Value Village dishing out the goods lately, today I found an SNES, with two controllers. Fourteen bucks. (Seven Cents USD)

I have personally pimped a burned set of the series to eleven of my friends, two teachers who in turn showed their family and friends, and two of my parents friends. Oh and my parents.
