Nay, taking away those 50px would have the smoke cut off too abruptly. The way it is now is nice because it has a good gradient feel to it.

I agree about the random blue thing though.

Version two. Looks good. You should probably scrap the text though and try to bring a better flow of colour, because to me it's a little chaotic. I do like a lot of what you have done though, but this is what I'd of done to just 'finish it off' if you get me.

My bad, but it does look like that's what you did.

@TP - That's better, I think the brighter works for this. The red looks more noticeable, especially the splatter bit.

I think a more sepia tone might give it a little flair. Liking the blood area tho.

The logo looks messed up though, try fixing it? And the white brushes look weird, I would change the opacity or color maybe? I dunno.

Text ruins it, but man, that's pretty beast. Almost looks like that could have been the original image. In fact... That should be the original image. Good job on the lighting.
