And thug, I didn't make the fire itself, but it did take me a long ass time to do the placement and blending. I used the clipping mask option for over 14 layers. Then I blended it in by erasing and brushing.
Oh and about his legs... not quite done with this yet. Still have a few more things to cover. I have no idea how I'm going to blend in his legs too.

I nearly had it finish, just when photoshop CS4 30 days trial decides to *bleep* me over. I *bleep*ing want to explode. I don't even want to *bleep*ing touch it again.
And it looked amazing.

I had wings, but the quality of the stock blowed. I've been searching for a stock image of wings for ages.

I quite like what you've done there, the composition is good although I have reserves about the lighting, there is obviously a strong directional light coming in from those windows, yet you have the MMA fighters body so exposed to a lightsource at the front^? and none of this orange/red-light has broken up his outline to the right. Haha he also, although a MMA fighter looks quite a lot like a gay biker who's samurai-cosplaying for his boyfriend, much like Mr. Garrison's friend Mr. Slave. Other than that, right-on!

Not much, just whoring the brush tool. I've been dying to make something like this though.
