If you can't explain yourself you are not knowledgeable enough to critique the work, It's the reason i won't be critiquing the blood in that signature as i know forwell how difficult blood is to replicate. I actually think Empress Dowager Lu did a fine job with that blood, it has the right measurement of light and dark.

I apologise to Empress Dowager Lu for disrupting the love in this thread but it had to be said, i even did some research on rondo and he was in no position. I am not saying to anyone don't crititique work but sometimes it is nice to have some prior experience of what someone is trying to do, before telling them to improve something you can't even do.

As for the latest signature i like it, i don't normally like these kinds of signatures they always look too cluttered or at worst something everyone and their mother have made in the past. I like this one though and i don't think you need to change a thing.

I am only voicing my thoughts on the work. I apologize though that I didn't put any compliments. I quite realize it was a hard work put in to create something like that but when I see it, I realize there was something wrong with the flow of the blood and I had to say it. I know what you're trying to say. It's probably because I didn't put any compliments on my posts along with the critique but you don't need to start flaming me about it you know.

As for that banner, I agree with Black Label, it's quite a mess. I personally don't like the text on the banner. I don't think the text is suited for the banner. It's techy while the banner is grunge. I would also give some room around the text. I don't know why people like to put the text all bunched up in a corner when they have plenty of space elsewhere.

Seriously, you used to request for me and now you're totally above me are you not? =) NICE IMPROVEMENT. I really like some of your pieces. Though, I've only spotted you in the Anime forum so seeing you do some more "serious" work is quite a style change for me.

It's nice, but I'm never a fond of dulled down colours, though the colours do compliment each other. I've grown to dislike apparent brushing as well, which is annoying. The flecks I do like though, probably from a splatter brush? I actually like the space on the right side, but maybe would've cropped it by 10px or so because it's a bit too much of a breather that it could lag on. Still, I like how you recognised that it just can't be all brushing throughout the BG -thumbs up-. Lastly, the font can be in a better position, IMO but I guess it's not that big a deal.

All in all, I'm severely impressed by your growth =D!

I really like the dulled down theme, and the colors look excellent. The banner seems a bit wide on the right side (probably because of negative space), so I think you should crop 10-15 pixels off the right side. The font goes nicely with the banner as well.

All in all, it's a great piece. Keep it up. ;D

Well the "love story" text is good old times new roman, and the "tokyo" text is ModernBlck. I forget what I used for "in", sorry. =/
