I made an attempt at making fire a while ago.

It's supposed to be fire but it didn't turn out too well.

I mostly followed this tutorial but branched off around step 5 or 6.



And the avatar is a cut off bit of the banner with a border:

I love the blue colors, and they go very well with the stock. I'm not that fond of the girl, but that's my opinion. xD

I remembered to save this one as an XCF so I can change it later if I need to ^-^

Anything that stands out as needing to be changed?

The text. It's boring and placed seemingly randomly.

The border. The fact that you've used black for the border does not go well with the colors in your banner overall.

Otherwise it's ok.

I have to agree, the text is hard to read, and I rarely like cursive text on things . The arm on the right looks a little blurry. I like the rest of it though .

Unfortunately I can't do anything about the arm. It just kept turning out blurry every time I tried to erase the water so in the end I gave up.

I changed the border to a darker blue/turquoise then her eyes (although it may still be a bit too dark..) and experimented with the text.





Same effect as the previous but I moved it to a path. >_<

With the second I wasn't sure if I should crop a bit of the empty space out or not and in the end decided not too.

Better or worse? =/
