GAME MODES
Oni Mode, Nonstop Mode, and Mission Mode (4th Mix/Ultramix Challenge) are all making a return to DDR Extreme.
PARTY MODES - Yes, DDR is going to have a plethora of mini-games. Yes, some of them won't even involve the dance mat.
Watch Me Dance - Everything but the arrows and music is taken away, and the screen shows the EyeToy camera feed showing you dancing to the song.
Magical Ball - Think Breakout or Arkanoid, where your hands bounce the ball on the screen.
Clean The Screen - While playing your song, you will need to periodically wave your arms to wipe the image off the screen that will slowly build and obscure your view of the incoming arrows.
Hands And Feet - The EyeToy adds a Left Hand and Right Hand area that you'll need to tag along with the standard arrows. Think Solo Mode. (
Yes, steps have been simplified so don't worry trying to pull off that Ko-Na-Mi in The Legend of MAX.)
Coconut Panic - Shake the trees and catch the coconuts that fall from them.
Hyper Dash - Running game similar to the old NES Power Pad games.
Feeding Time - Hit the pad arrow that corresponds to the correct food to fead each animal on the screen.
INTERFACE
Yes, this game won't have the classic Extreme interface. No, it's not because Konami hates the US - It's because many of the EyeToy additions made the interface unworkable.
BUNDLING
Currently, we only know of a bundle with a Konami-branded softpad being offered. It's possible that other bundles with an EyeToy may be offered.
V-RARE
As with MaxUS and Max2US, a V-Rare album will be offered to customers of some as-of-yet-unknown retailer who purchase their shiny new copies of DDR Extreme in their stores. More info will come soon.
