Escape!

This is a little tip for someone just starting out in the game. If you're in a bad way during a battle, you can do the following things to prolong your life:

1) Go in reverse! If you reach a certain distance behind you, you get to escape from battle.

2) Use flash/smoke/wire shells if you have them, to decrease your opponent's accuracy, and give you a chance to fight another day

3) If #2 doesn't apply, don't fire! Unless your opponent is near death, or you're fairly confident about beating him before he beats you, just keep backing up. Every time you fire a shot, you stop your AFW from going in reverse, which just means your opponent has a better chance of destroying you

4) Send your troops forward, even if they're wimpy medics. They might distract the enemy AFW, and at least provide some covering fire for you, from the enemy troops. Besides, if your AFW is destroyed, you lose them anyway, right?

5) Quickfire or Emergency Load at the right time can cause the enemy to miss you, and doesn't take as long as normal fire, so you won't lose too much reversal time.

Dude, you dont have to do anything special to backup, just hit the down key on the keypad in the battle. you will see your vehicle moving backwards/forwards. A small indicator on theleft side of the screen will show you what you are doing. Also just keep backing up as stated and you will hit the escape range and you can get out of a nasty battle. You will get a warning saying something to the effect of "you are approaching the battlefield limit" keep going and you escape.

Sure, I'd love to write up a couple tips and strategy for Ring of Red for your page I'm not exactly Alexander the Great when it comes to tactics, but if you need contributions, you can count on me. If you want I can keep posting to this page and you can just copy it over and tack my name on.

Reverse is about the only way to avoid those nasty Anti-AFW versus my Light AFW combats. OUCH!

Got a tip, if you REALLY want to keep a light AFW and you have a max left, get into CC range and activate dodge! they will run up, swing, and miss. havent had any max attacks sent my way while doing this so i am not sure if it helps any! hope i can help Someone!Oh yea, i hate Kaiho! i almost had him killed on 2nd lvl and he got away! oh well, i will kill him eventualy
