I don;t understand how to beat this mission. the players guide says to send some air units through defenses and take out some power plants to make the blockade around your starting location weaker. Unfortunetly at this point it would cost me 30,000 dollars just to upgrade my helicopters with rockets. Machine guns barely even damage buildings. I see two other alternatives: spending hours transporting troops to the bottom of the map and dropping them behind the power plants but even this is a fierce battle that will cost alot of money and resources. The other alternative in my mind is to land west of the starting location and go right for the vehicle i'm supoosed to rescue, but with power that valley is a deathtrap with all those mines and turrets. That's probably what I;ll end up doing but does anyone know if their is any easier way to do this mission. Thanks.

ps: This is quite possibly the best rts ever made. I don;t know how anyone could go back to red alert or starcraft after playing this game.

Though i can rescue the Vehicle but i don noe how 2 end the mission as it requried me 2 get our pilots on it so i m stuck here!!

Hi,
for ED mission 4, here is a way to do it:
with a few helicopters (hope u kepted a few from the previous missions), go east to the border of the map then south. U should discover the transport surrounded by tower.
Destroy the transmitters, then the small towers.
Bring the supply truck in the area to get control of the transport (use a transport chopper). with the transport chopper, take the transport away and back to base. That's it!

For those who are still plaing!
To finish the ED mision 4, all you need is the chopers from the first mision, a unit transporter, a unit equiped whit a ion canon and a repairer. Keep the ion canon and your repairer near your landing zone. Then try too lift some of those grizzly mk III whit the unit transporter and place them in front of your ion canon. The repairer will capture the unit after is disabled. After you have some grizzlys on your side, you will present a serios threat to those UCS. Only vith the grizzly unit equiped with the plasma canons, wich is on the first line of defense, you can take out the enemy in succesive ataks, in wich it will become stornger an stronger.
