The six month turn-around for Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm releases is on point as usual, with Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution on track to release September 11 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. The follow-up to Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 will continue the story for where it was previously left off and today's character art release should pronounce that. Introducing the reanimated Minato Namakaze, now seen in full Kurama Link Mode.
Reanimated to help his son defeat Obito during the Fourth Great Ninja War, the Yellow Flash, the fourth Hokage, Minato Namakaze will be one of the new playable characters in Revolution. He joins a cast of over 100 playable characters from the series, which is a bit extreme when you think about it. When the game's being iterated on every six months with few changes to the game overall, I suppose it's easy to add more characters and a bit of story to keep it going on.
One has to ask, looking at Naruto and his father in full Kurama Link Mode glory, what Revolution might look like on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Sure, the game will be coming to PC, but it's clear at this point the visuals and systems are being held back to an extent by the older console hardware. Let's all cross our fingers that Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 will make the generation gap -- for the betterment of the franchise.
Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution is planned for release on September 11 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. Expect more reveals and more information to come in the months leading up to release.
