As the thread title says, I need some exact directions (or be guided to some exact directions) for obtaining the Excalibur sword.

Basically, from what I've read, I understand that you must work your ass off for Amakaze/The People. You must also talk to the Sword Informant at least once prior to talking to her about the "Wild Dog" at which point the quest for the Foreigner with Excalibur begins (or maybe it's not an official game quest, but MY quest).

One of the things I am confused upon.... if it takes everyday and night of working for Amakaze, does this mean you're pretty much not engaging in any story line? I ask this because I heard someone say that you needed to work all the time until the Festival comes up, but of course if you don't get involved in any of the plots by the time the festival rolls around you'll be stuck in Otsuka-cho being requested to assassinate Hanzaemon. In which case, no time after Festival to contact sword informant, no more days in Amahara to get Excalibur (5 days of constant working down the drain).

So, is the Excalibur obtaining the Late Night of the 25th? Wouldn't that make it around 25 completed jobs for Amakaze? Should be enough considering ive been using bath house and smelling salts to stay awake and saving a lot so i haven't failed a mission yet. I'm at 24th late night on one game, 25th evening on other.

Any advice you can offer will be appreciated.

yeah i would like to know too i have tried like 10 times to get it..also what stance does it use?

um, yeah i see what you mean.. but i used up a whole day not doing work for amakaze, and got job where you avenge someones death, all before the festival day... would that give time to get involved in one of the plots??

To get the sword Excalibur... You must be on Sayo's ending route. You must work very hard for Amakaze/the people and not fail a single mission. You must also not pick any fights with people unless they start a fight with you. You also, must have gone to the Sword informant at least once before trying for the Excalibur (You don't need buy any info/start a sword hunt. Just talk to her) If you've done all this correctly, on day 27 of Sayo's route, go to the sword informant during the late night and she will say something along the lines of "my dear <your name>, there seems to be a wild dog loose". After that, go directly to Otemon Gate and the Foreigner will be waiting for you. He will say that you've been working hard for the people and what he really came to Amahara for was to fight a strong samurai like Kyojiro or Hanzaemon but all he can think about now is fighting you. Choose the second option to fight him. WARNING: Hes one hell of a tough fight. He has a lot of defense so it will be a long fight, he also parrys/blocks quite alot. Highly recommended to bring a devil mushroom and stock up on bean candies. After you kill him, his dying words will be for you to take his sword and use it however you please, for that is the way of the samurai (or something like that) Take it...and congrats you got an hard earned Excalibur! Quality lvl for Excalibur is 1/11 when you first get it.
