tessho, the dojo master, seems to be immortal when he has his wooden sword, and i NEED that sword. it only appears on hard mode, and i just can't seem to kill him (i can beat him, of course, but i can't get the sword). his dai-kuronama is easy enough to get, but this...this...friggin' STICK is posing the biggest problem yet. i've absolutely annihilated him with all my best swords, all well over 300 attack (one over 400), and YET HE LIVES. so, the question is, is there some trick to this? does anyone know if it's how quickly you kill him (tried that), how powerful the end attack is (i haven't seen anything stronger than momoge's special attack, and that isn't working), or what? of course i'm using sword oils and devil mushrooms like they're going out of style...help, i've reached my limitations...

Hmm. Try getting a sword with ridiculously powerful attacks for this. As much as I hate Kyojiro a lot of people seem to like to use the HE/SHES sword.

first off, i'd like to thank all of you for helping me out. you've been a huge help. ........

i have a platina biteikotsu with +391/+312, and that's not working. thanks for the suggestion, though. the momoge idea isn't really working out because you can't pull off the attack enough times in a row to make it profitable (it's a breaker, so it really depends on the stupidity of tessho rather than the skill of the player).

so far what seems to kill him the fastest is my platina hairando (+407/+270), which is probably my favorite weapon so far (the only contenders are the kubirabasara (danpachi's), which is unparalleled for counterattacks, and the biteikotsu (kyojiro's), which is unparalleled for general mayhem). if you just use the gionshoju & the uguisu-goma over and over you can crush him incredibly quickly...but not fast enough. i can fairly regularly get the dai-kuronama without any sword enhancing items (mushroom or sword oil), but his stick still eludes me.

the next plan is to find a hairando with excellent attack (i'm hoping to find one starting out at +140) and just keep working on it and accepting no less from dojima than maximum attack modifications. if i name it demon i'm guessing i can get it up to around 490-500 attack. it sucks, though, wasting all this time on one sword that will be useless except for this one task (and i don't know for sure that it will even then be enough). titling a sword "demon" just doesn't compare at all to "platina" (fyi, a demon sword will (assuming the sword has, initially, a max quality of twelve) give about 45 more points to attack than a platina sword will, but a platina sword will have about 155 more to defense and it doesn't drain energy to use). oh well, them's the breaks.

anyway, i'm still all ears. if anyone has any information, i'm still trying to get this elusive sword...

Wow. Umm... Well I heard it is possible to get a sword with over 500 attack, most likely and excalibur with around 115 starting attack which is REALLY rare to get. Right now my only good sword is a Golden Mumei-tou which is like.. 233/231 16/13 quality, I havn't played in a while so I havn't gotten a good chance.

But right now the swords you have are incredible.

i have the same problem but i really have a very extremely goood sword... DEMON HAIRANDO (478ATT AND 113 DEF)... I STILL CANT KILL THAT BASTARD TESSHO... HE IS SUCH A PAIN IN THE ASS!!! ANYONE KNOWS HOW TO KILL HIM??? AND I THINK IT IS IMPOSSIBLE COS HE IS A VERY BIG NASTY BITCH

My God, I feel like a newbie! I'm obsessed w/this game, but I've been focusing more on getting all the endings than upgrading my weaponry. My highest level sword is my Savage Kubirabasa(dual katanas are the shit!) and its only like 85 on attack, 40-50 sumthin on defense, don't remember the quality. I also focus on my kill rates. Is there a thread for that here, if not, someone should start one, eh? Now then, bow before the Purple Cashew!

btw,I think I misspelled my sword name. I believe its Kubirabasara, but I'm not entirely certain. Oh well, shigata ga nai!

I you cant kill that mother *bleep*er at the dojo, just go on instant kill mode (have a good sword ready) and kick his ass

I have the same problem...
I noticed that whenever you fight him if you get his life so low he just stops the fight and says you win. He is like this in all diffaculty modes, but if you get his life to a two hit kill and do a great attack it kills him.The problem with the hard setting is that his defense is incredibly high so a great attack automatically sets in a forfiet, because his life is really low. If you could somehow get his life low without going past the limit and realease your strongest attack...then maybe. I have not gotten this to work though.

actually if you unlocked the finishing blow difficulty you can beat the dojo master realitivly easy though it only takes two hits but you don't kill him though. Here's how it's done (also in theory if you do this in the other difficulties it might be possible)

when you challenge the dojo master and he starts to shake his head immediately pull out your sword before he gets a chance to pull out his and start swinging but make sure you keep your sword inline with his body so you don't miss on the FB difficulty it takes two hits to take him down but on the other difficulties it'll take you awhile (haven't done it myself cause it takes too long and I don't have much patiences for it). In the end you get his sword which has decent quality, attack in the lower 40s to the upper 80s, and defense ranging from -20s to upper 40s. enjoy ^^

also for the wooden sword if you're playing on hard mode the student outside the dojo will usually have it but its defense stats are unbelievable like around 70 to 130 believe me it'll take you some time..... also if it was just the wooden sword you were after then ignore my previous paragraph hehe

the first sowrd u get from tessho use that there is 1 move which takes off 715 i think get it maxed out then try in

the only way I was able to kill teshoo (or whatever) was on killing blow.

Another thing you can use is a devil mushroom or sword oil and take him out that way but you'll need your strongest sword to do it oh and increase your health to 2000 might make it easier. What i've beeen trying to do is to do a move that attacks continuiously before the next move like the one after kogen the charge move oriazami that you use with zannkimaru i've had some success but not on hard though but i'm tryin again
