Freezing?

Now that I have 3 theme parks built whenever I try to save or close a park, my ps2 will freeze. Anyone else have this problem?

The freezing will go away eventually, and that Bobby Magee is the demented one.

E-mail me at sandy@n2net.com and tell me if your game is still freezing.

re: Freezing?

Try cleaning your disk. We had this problem and found that we had a big finger print smug on it. You can purchase a cleaning kit at your local game store. We got our's a Babbage's in the Mall. $4.99. You can also clean your CDs and CD-Roms with it.

Add me to the list of those with freezing problems. The cd is perfect so thats not the problem. I have mostly had a problem with Wonderland-Land of Dreams. I found the only way around this was to close my park from the map screen. This deleted my old park and had to rebuild. After testing and frequent saves, I think it may have to do with setting patrol areas. I have no patrols set in that park and it hasn't locked up since. I'm not positive this is what did it but it may be of help.

Anyway, if you have a problem in *all* of your games, here's how to clean your ps2 and stop disc read errors. We've had ours since launch and this has saved us from having to replace ours.

Also, what did Sony send you? A new ps2?? Was it still under the 90 day warranty? I'm curious

re: Freezing?

We had this problem and found that our disk and PS2 needed cleaning. You can get a disk cleaner from you local game store and a disk for cleaning a CD player from any place they sell CDs.

We think it's the finger prints on the game disk. Also the eye on the player gets dirty. I do security work all night in a guard house. I take my PS2 with me to keep me awake. I play about 50 or 60 hours a week. I clean mine once a week and have had no problem with it freezing up except when I get carried away and forget to save often. I save everytime I build something like a coster or track ride. This is the most fun game I have. Just fun. No shooting, no jumping, and no running in the park.

Do you have all your coasters ultimate yet? Mine are.

If you'd like to contact me my email is coster@bellsouth.net

re: Freezing?

My PS2 had a lot of dust build up by the fan, so I blew into it, and the dust cleared out. I believe that the PS2 is just overheating when it freezes up. Try that!!
