There are two game titles that all parents should be aware of before buying their children games. One is the infamous Mortal Kombat that lit up Capitol Hill and arcades alike with its gruesome violence. The other is the new king of video game violence, Grand Theft Auto.

Grand Theft Auto III and Vice City started a new revolution in the way games are made and the systems people play. Without a doubt, each game is popular because of the actual adventure players go through. However, just like you may not let your kids watch The Sopranos on HBO, these games may be a bit too heavy for even the most mature kids under 17.

While Rockstar Games has bundled Grand Theft Auto III and Vice City into a single purchase for a nice economy purchase, this isn't the title you'll want your under age child playing. Featuring car theft, vehicular homicide, police chases, murder, and prostitution, GTA is worse than many R-rated movies. For your family, stay away from anything GTA-related.
