okay so were exactly did you get that? and can you make out any arms or other features?

I must say, this is pretty convincing. I can say that no one has positively identified what this is yet. No mention of a tree bark or anything to that liking. Personally I think the thing looks like something out of aliens, but who knows for sure? Anyone out there want to give a crack at this thing, and tell me what it is?

I must say, that when that piece is mirrored, it does look just like an alien head. Have you ever seen independence day?

Kind of a freak job of a website if you ask me.

I came across that Texture as well..

It looked like a Log texture to me though.. Perhaps a Texture from one of the Busted Up Logs.

It could also vey well be a texture from the Logging/Car Crusher area in the Countryside. Just a Jumble of various things to make a Crused Block.

What I think we need to do is have people check some places to see if they can find the Texture in the game..

you sure the ground would have facial features? see this is our problem. find something interesting and its passed off as something else. why not find that "ground" texture in the game then come and tell us where it is? thats the only way it can be officially 'passed off'

It would certainly be helpful to everyone if the filenames were included with those pics. It would also help to validate your "findings". I don't think they're fakes, but I know plenty of people would like to check them out for themselves.

your are absolutely right about that, but try to go through all texture files by your own, that means only one person that makes following: double click, view, scroll down while viewing, if something interesting is there export it, close, and that again and again and again, if i would have made a list of the *.txd file names it would have been terrible work.. but if you want the name of the texture then right-click on it and click on attributes
