GTA


- Released - July 1998
- They tried to ban it for 'being too violent'
- Top down view



Tec9's verdict - I used to play for hours just driving around killing people and stealing cars, just
like the blurb stated.

GTA: London 1969

- Released - April 1999
- Top down view
- Cool ass music



Tec9's verdict - Pretty poor, the only GTA game I didn't enjoy as much as the rest, cool music though.

GTA2


- Released - October 1999
- Top down view
- Improved graphics
- Original nonlinear game play - go where you want, when you want.
- Improved AI
- Intelligent gang system - play gangs off against each other in turf wars.
- Brand new game engine
- New graphics engine with support for vertex colored lighting
- Up to 50 vehicle & 200 pedestrians on the screen simultaneously.
- More than 30 different vehicles types, each with unique and dynamic handling.
- All new original soundtrack including tracks from Moving Shadow Records, Flytronix and Taxi Driver.




Tec9's verdict - Very good game, I played for hours with this game, the lighting was so cool, remember the electricity gun?
This game was/is so good. I remember standing on a street in a taxi with guns loaded on my car and the street being filled
with loads and loads of people and just shooting into the crowd.

GTA3


- Released - October 2001
- 3D graphics
- Great city
- 3 Islands, Staunton Island, Shoreside Vale and Portland



Tec9's verdict - Good game, at the time of it being new and before VC this was so good, now when I play it there isn't
really much to do. Still fun though. The city in GTA3 is much better than Vice City


GTA:Vice City


- Released - October 2002
- 3D graphics
- City Based on Miami
- Storyline loosely based on Scarface
- 2 Main Islands 2 Smaller Islands



Tec9's verdict - Great game, still play it 2 years on nearly, MTA makes it good aswell. I found a new place I've never
seen before today. Good music, good gameplay and replay value. If you own a PS2 you should own this.
