re: Ideas for Metroid Prime 3 |

i still say a stealth element needs to be added to the game. even if it is just a sniper visor where you can zoom in. but it would be nice to get a suit with limited cloaking abilities. meaning when you stand still you are stealthed but when you move you can be detected.
doesnt make much sense that samus always goes into these scenarios all alone and just bowls her way through with brute force everytime. all the mobs need to do is concentrate all their firepower on samus at one time and she would be overwhelmed. however if she ended up getting a sniper cannon/visor with a possible stealth suit that would provide the game with a little more realistic content in that she would have to sit back and pick some mobs off and provide ample opportunity for more puzzles. action however would still be the primary role. the stealth would just be a minor back burner ------------------- Confuscious say "Elevator smell very different to midget"

Nop, during the middle part of the game and forward, that would become useless.
Sure a lot of space pirates is bad, but thats why we move around and hide behind pillars. That's what iv'e been doing these past few years in MP Prime and MP Prime 2. Later on in the game of course we can be Rambo, in the begining we have to be careful when fighting many foes. Stealth isn't necessary. -------------------

True. Besides, Samus isn't about stealth, she's about tracking down a target in her mission and completing her mission.

How about she finds the source of all phazon and it rips a hole in time? That way, we could learn all about her past by protecting young samus from the space pirates in the attack on the chozo homeworld so she can grow up to be the bounty hunter. Also, you could travel to the future past the point where samus died and make samus a hunter for all time. (space pirates beware) Even more futuristic technology!

I like this game because it's fairly realistic Sci-Fi, I hope they keep it that way.
Other than that, I would like to have a different ammo and life system, where the energy of the suit, aka your health, would also be used for firing your weapons. Off course, your energy would also replenish over time, in the beginning perhaps only with sunlight and in the end even through water and phazon. This would add some serious change to the game making it a new experience and a lot harder. Oh yes, empty tanks can't auto refill, only the one you're currently on, else it'd be too easy. Also the save and replenish life functions should be seperated, that would be more difficult and someone should really stalk you in the game, constantly chasing you, and they can appear anywhere at any time. And perhaps you should have more choice in the game too about which upgrades to get first, like you could first get the boostball and then the space jump, or first the space jump and then the boostball, but of course more complicated with more powerups and any road you take would of course eventually lead to the final boss. ------------------- ![]()

Now your idea is a very nice one, however I don't think using up your life to shoot ammo would be a good idea since people eventually have to shoot repeatedly meaning they'll lose their life. Aside from that, I like your ideas. You got a good imagination.
Edit: By the way, your idea about choosing which upgrade to get first, I'm not sure how that's gonna work out. Would mind explaining it to me? This message was edited by neoseekdude on Jan 06 2006. ------------------- Wanna See Something Funny? Go Look In A Mirror, XD hahahahahaha

Just take away the whole ammo system, and make better charge shots with the beams, and it would be a lot better. IMO, that was the main problem with MP2.

re: Ideas for Metroid Prime 3 |

my point in my last post about protecting samus's younger self from space pirates was that the raid on her home planet still happened, and despite older samus's best efforts, her parants would still die(cause the past cant be changed) leading the younger samus to become a bounty hunter. either young samus was inspired by her older self, or never knew big samus was there(due to a stealth feature mensioned earlier). and its a real pain typingon my psp, im out of room and have to starta newpost
what i meant to say about the morph bombs was that they could go off when an enemy touches them, or if you press a button to trigger it, giving you infinate jumps. (i think ill wait until i have access to a real computer before posting again...)

quote neoseekdudeWell what I mean is that you don't get your upgrades in a predetermined order, so if you'd replay the game, you could get other upgrades first, like instead of getting the missile launcher first, you could first get the morphball bombs etc. ------------------- ![]()

I absolutley agree - more space in game -
YES It must be more space to walk so more secret rooms with ammo or missle expansions so there are much harder to find them all. Much bigger rooms to fight with enemies. KNOWING THIS THE METROID PRIME 3 WILL BE ON N. REVOLUTION SO ON CD WILL MUCH MORE SPACE AND THEY WILL BE BIGER LIKE ON GCN I THINK - Well i dont know.

I like some of the ideas I've seen on this page. What I have hoped for from the beginning of the Prime series is combined beams (such as Ice and Wave together) like you have in Super Metroid, Metroid Fusion, and Metroid Zero Mission. I would also appreciate the High Jump (the ability to jump higher), and Morph Ball expansions like the Spring Ball (from Metroid 2 and Super Metroid). The C stick and the D stick (on the cube) is already virtually useless in Morph Ball mode, so it could be used for something like switching the function of the B button (using the boost ball and the spring ball at the same time would be absurd, and anything else you might need to do wouldn't require quick switching). And the speed booster would be an awsome upgrade as well.
quote annihilateThat will be on DVD, not CD. A CD's capacity is between 700 and 800 MB, while a DVD's capacity is 4.5 to 9 GB (at least five times larger). This message was merged with other messages by Epsalon X (moderator)

re: Ideas for Metroid Prime 3 |

You know...considering that Samus is basically fighting the entire space pirate army..why the heck is it that if they're Sooo big, and such a large threat to the universe, that you only fight maybe a maximum of 6 per room in MP and MP2? WHy dont you ever just like...walk in on like 20 guys or something. And wtf is up with the grapple beam, its so fun to swing around, they should have rooms where you gotta swing across like...humongous canyons of ultimate doom and you get to swing like 10 points or something, as apposed to the usual 2 or 3.

You know what I'm guessing here. Taht the phazon planet of MP3 is in fact the "Home" planet of the chozo or at least the planet where they have most of their technological wonders at, no peace loving nature hippie chozo, these are the industrious technological chozo we have never met before, this planet was where the phazon was created.
