I remember on the 01/02 game , u could go to player/staff search and check the latest players who have clauses in their contracts. BUT , in the new game ( 03/04 )I can't seem to find a way to do this. All I can do is just check players individualy and check their contracts. Does anyone know how to check for clauses in contracts without doing it the long way! Plz write back i'd be very grateful.

Only way is, as you say, just to search individual players. The best way to keep track of it is simply to search this forum for threads regarding players who START with minimum fee release clauses. And then, mid-game, whenever a player on your shortlist signs a new contract with his club, immediately check whether a release clause has been inserted into his new contract.

Or you could use CM Scout...

Not if you haven't got the patience to get a player's potential ability up, like me. Even using CmScout, the Min Fee filter doesn't help too much, seeing as every player in Spain has one.

if you are roma then i can recommend buying Lucio for 8M...his release clause is 10.75M, but you can get him for as little as 8M...that will use just about all your money so sell Candela for about 8.5M early (newcastle ALWAYS buy left sided players early so offer to them)...to replace him look for Zonneveld, NEC on another release clause, can be bought for 1.6M...

with release clauses NEVER offer the stated amount, you can get them for MUCH cheaper...for example:
Arteta 3.7M release, bought for 2.9M
Mexes 3.5M release, bought for 3M
Evra 6M release, bought for 4M
Lucio 10.75M release, bought for 8M
Tuncay 9.25-9.75M release, bought for 7.5-8M
Zonneveld 1.8-2M release, bought for 1.5-1.6M

generally, offer 80% of release caluse, but often less will work...dont use spanish release clauses as a guide because they are massively overinflated...
