I am currently managing Chelsea and needed a player to occupy the placement of right midfield, so I put in a bid for a few players, one of which was a £16.5m offer for a player called Elano, a Brazilian, who is 22 and plays for Santos. Stats can be viewed here. Is this a reasonable transfer? I would like to see what others thought about this.

Bargain IMO. I had him on one of my games and he was pure class. If possible get Robinho with him, would've said Diego but you most likely started that game with update transfers.

Elano was awesome for me, he played alongside side Diego, Renato and Robinho for me though so he knew the players.

Has anyone else had Lewis Buxton? He plays for Pompey, in 2006 on my game he is f*cking amazing. He's a centreback alongside Michael Dawson atm, both pushing for the England team at 22 I think. Just figured I mention him in anticipation for a question about decent young, English centrebacks

No need for Robinho at the moment, I have Drogba and Kezman performing brilliantly upfront, with a little midfield back up from Hazurov. I have decided that I will go through with the transfer of Elano then, he will be wearing a Chelsea shirt come January

As for L Buxton, I just had a look at him and he does look promising, with some very decent mental stats. I might try and ship Terry off at the end of the season (if I can get a good offer) and try this guy as a replacement.

forget elano mate..cesar delgado of cruz azul...averaged just under 8 for me at chelsea playing down the right...hes blindingly quick with great skills and can cut inside into the box and score too...costs between 8-14M

This Delgado character does display some awesome stats, but I aslo want Elano, I will buy them both

Hey, Elite, for that kind of money, i would buy Pennant if I were you. This guy is too good. I always get him, to any team I manage. Plus, why are you getting rid of Terry? This guy is rock solid when it comes to defence! I usually get another great centerback alongside him, and concede a max of 25 goals in the whole season, including ALL competitions!

I am still waiting for his arrival

Just recently I have noticed during matches my strikers tend to run out to the wings, which is incredibly annoying as I want them to be positioned in the middle. Is there anyway to stop this happening?

About the strikers going onto the wings. Its easy , on the tactics screen , go onto team tactics at the top and change ' play ' to 'direct' so the ball actually goes to them

can u sign coaches like kevin keegan to b players? also is it possible to start on a different date than what it says when u start a game?

nope you cant sign coaches who have retired from playing as players but you can if there player coaches. and you can only change the start date by a few months e.g if you set the start date to that of the brazillian league but play the english youll start playing half way through the season
