Please someone tell me why I cannot play this game, I bought the game new at WallyWorld and I loaded it and updated it after having uninstalled it b4 because of the same problem, making sure to delete all files associated with the game before reloading. I can load in and it goes to multiplayer options and audio/video options but that is all, I cannot play a single player game and I cannot play multiplayer either. It lets me create my character and select weapons but it wont let me choose to host, play on NovaWorld or nill. I can click search but never get anything. I am not sure just what the problem is. I am running 98SE on an Amd Duron 850 w/256 mb ram,30gb HD, S3 trio 3d/2x video card ( Speedstar A55). I have plenty of HD space and system resources to run this game, I have Icewind Dale HOW installed here also and I have no trouble with it in either MP or SP modes,I am also shutting down all other windows programs at the time of trying to run the game. I thought it was because of my absence of CD, but it ain't. I'm upping this thread because I have the same problem.
