Definitely the hardest FPS I've played so far...on this setting. That's for sure.

I'm now at the level where Val is driving the jeep and I'm the gunner in the swamp. The problem here is that on realistic you have to be perfect with your large munition shots in the jeep since you only get 6. So far I have not made it through...

Trading machine gun fire with another jeep is just instant death most of time, unless I get lucky and can take out the gunner right away.

Here is what I do at the beginning of the level. First step is to knock out the jeep that just starts to come out of the garage to follow. Next is the other jeep waiting in the swamp by the closed gate. Next the helicopter comes down and this guy I just fire on with the machine gun and hope to bring it down before the next jeep. Now we're travelling up the valley and another jeep comes out from the left. Another heavy round and now I'm down to 3. One more jeep comes out from behind just before approaching the opening with the mercs standing out front. I usually die here from single shot kills, and it's very frustrating because so much is not in your control.

Anyone have some advice for getting through this level on realistic difficulty? Appreciate any help.

Use the rocket for the Heli as well. Sure, you have to get lucky but you'll take too much damage from the Heli if you don't.
Use up the heavy ordnance to get through.

Lol just playing that and getting frustrated. I spent hald a day on it already...amazing what sicko designed that level. Sometimes i get to the second car that jump at you with full health and armor and get a bullet in the head before i can shoot at it (since the car leans he get 3 shots in before i can act). Then once into the camp i don't know what is going on...take out the tower guy, but as you do so another 2 or 3 guy are shooting at you, and with your head stikcing out your dead. Ignore the tower, and tower guy gets you. Got past that camp once and amaingly it wasn't over...ridicuolus. How long after that one? I mean it's bloddy impossible. ANy advices? Or just wait to get lucky?

PS They choosed a really crapy voice for the main charachter...a shame, really kills the mood when he says something.

Ok, got thru it. The thing is, if you don't face people they don't shoot you!? So you're coming to the camp and continue facing backwards, and nobody shot me...not the two guards at the front, not the guy at tower, not the poeple at jump or those punks by the explosive cistern. Ridicuols, but there you have it. If anyone faces this problem, now you know...kinda dissapointing actualy, but there is zero chance of making it thru otherwise.

Well I have been stuck on this section for a while too... but I always make it to the camp. This is my findings for making this level as easy as possible... first of before you hop in the jeep, go to the fence on the far right side and use the binoculars to find the two idiots who are going to be using the second jeep. Then using stones and grenades, lure them a little bit into range.

I seemed to pick off the gunner with my sniper rifle, so that jeep is not a threat. Then when u hop in the jeep, shoot the first jeep in the garage using the rocket launcher, take out the helicopter using the machine gun, also take out the 2nd jeep thats just chasing you. The helicoptor seems to have poor aim and I can usually down it using the machine gun before I exit that first swampy bit. Then get the rocket launcher and quickly shoot the ground up that hill just in front of the 3rd jeep. With the rocket launcher do the same again with that 4th jeep, there is just luck here! sometimes that guy headshots me, other times he takes off all my armor... either way if you still have armor left you are doing well. That is a count of 3 rockets used, so 3 left.

Then use a 4th rocket on the standing jeep just outside that outpost. use the 5th rocket for the tank inside the outpost, pray none of the snipers headshot you (usually faith doesn't come through for you in this section) and use the last rocket on the two guys on the ground just before the ramp, do this part quickly. Now I have made it to the ramp and over the ramp many times, but I always seem to get shot about here by one of the snipers in the towers. The best ive been is touched down on the ground, and being shot, just after the ramp! This level shits me to tears but I just read that post about not facing the guys at all in the compound, sounds ridiculous but hey, im desparate!

I just wanna finish the game haha. This was all done on realistic, what a game

JACKPOT! The guy who posted that thing about facing backwards was spot on. Works every time. The reason for this is because every time I entered that camp, i was in guns spitting, alerting the lot of them, if you face the back of your jeep, as low as possible and maybe a lil to the right to avoid eye contact with people you pass, you dont alert anyone because you don't seem like a threat.

Pity my first time past i was railed by those guys standing next to that truck, haha second time I missed them and still got railed, but third time around, rocket on the truck and BAM! finally passed the swamp. So there you have it, walkthrough for the alleged hardest part of the game on realistic.

I sadly have never finished this fantastic game - I get right to the end but cannot complete the last part with the mutant/trigens. It is so bloody hard even with unlimited ammo cheat (using -DEVMODE)It sux to spend so long on a game and never be able to complete it
