How do you blow up the machines inside the tornado's without being crushed.

The clouds are so thick that it is hard to see if I'm inside or above one. I like the mission but I'm tired of dying.

So some help would be nice.

You need to fly directlly above each tornado machines
and fly through where the clouds are swirling.Fly right
through and destroy the weapon with bombs,missiles or
gun fire.After you destroy the tornado machines,hit
the central complex and wipe it out.

a more descriptive way of saying it is when you see a tornado, point yourself directly at it and fly above cloud cover. a dark, swirling blotch will indicate the storm eye. you will need to fly into it, as it is the direct center, the most safest part of the tornado.

If you are quite a distance from the tornado when you ascend above cloud cover, even though you're far from it, you should see a lighter patch in the darker gray surroundings.

if you use your minimap, it will show the easiest path of completion. once all tornado producers are blown, kill the targets at the observation center (the place in the center of the circle of tornadoes).

after that, mission accomplished!
Also, listen to what the professor says, and soon he should say "Shut up!" to the assistant. I always get a kick outta that!
