Don't lie, Neoseeker, I know most of you are big fans of Aquaplus. Tears to Tiara, To Heart, Utawarerumono and other visual novels stir the heart, but all their fans really want is a fighting game that has each Leaf protagonist beating the pulp out of another. That's why Aquapazza: Aquaplus Dream Room exists, why Atlus decided to localize it in North America, and why it's available today on PlayStation 3.
Yes, Aquapazza collects 13 fighters from Aquaplus' published visual novels, along with 13 partners for the fighters. While most of them come from Utawarerumono, Tears to Tiara and To Heart, a hanful also come from Kizuato, Routes, Comic Party, and White Album. Honestly, I don't recognize any of this, but I'm sure some of you do.
As expected from a fighting game, there's ranked mode and online matches, but as expected of a fighting game based on visual novel characters there is also a story mode. Also, and this is rather hilarious, while still being interesting, is the game's unique Active Emotion System which displays a character's given emotion as their profile picture. I suppose depending on their emotions they'll have access to powerful attacks. BRILLIANT.
Pick up Aquapazza: Aquaplus Dream Match today exclusively on the PlayStation 3. And make sure to thank Atlus for localizing this one, because odds are it wouldn't have made its way overseas otherwise!
