I can't get the damned disc tray to open AT ALL! I tried multiple times to get the *bleep*ing thing open, and it just will not open, even when I try to manually open it by sticking a pin into that little hole under the tray. It's stuck on something, I think, and I don't have the tools to open it, and I'm not paying hundreds of dollars to get the thing fixed. If that's what it's going to take, I'm just gonna trash it and get a 360. I hate Microsoft so much right now.

Also, the XBOX is refurbished and I bought it from GameStop, I'm sure that has something to do with it.

how long ago did you get it from Gamestop cause they may have a limited warranty thing that could cover fixing it. Otherwise, i'd say go grab a screwdriver and pop it open to see if you can fix it yourself. The worst that can happen is it still won't work or works less and you already said you'd be willing to buy a 360 so really no harm done in the long run.

i had the same problem well i still do but i just giv it a wack on top n it seems to open for me.... cud try that???? i got a 360 but none of my xbox games work on my 360

Yeah, hitting it on the top works for me. It's annoying to do it every time I want to play a game or rip a CD, but oh well, I can deal with it.

Normally the warranty is 90 days if you buy it new, it varies if used/refurbished (depends on where you go but usually 7-14 days, maybe 30-within that 7-14 day period you can possibly return it). The one-year warranty costs you a little bit extra, they offered it to me at EB Games for something like $15. I bought it and thankfully didn't need it.

homnestly who does that, i just show a paperclip in the hole and pull the tray out

Try hitting it on the top near the tray. Works for me.

Why would people hate me because of my sig and avatar? I'm sure there's a way to fix it myself, I just don't have the right kind of screwdriver for it, so I just have to deal with hitting it to change games.

it happened to me and what i do is take off the silver thing on the disc tray and then what i do is press the eject button and push it in and it comes ope and you have to manually pull it out
