Titanfall was already announced as an Xbox and PC exclusive, but if anyone was still holding onto hope, it's time to let go. Earlier today, EA CFO Blake Jorgensen confirmed in an investor call that Titanfall would remain exclusive to Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 "for the life of the title."
When Respawn first unveiled their much-anticipated sci-fi shooter earlier in 2013, only Microsoft's Xbox consoles and PC were mentioned. Jorgensen's remark only reaffirms that exclusivity.
He also commented, "In the case of Titanfall, it's a brand new IP, and it's exclusive only for the life of the title on Xbox One and Xbox 360 and PCs."
Some time after this, Major Nelson tweeted that Titanfall would "only be available on Xbox One, Xbox 360 & PC."
Yes, @Titanfallgame game is exclusive. No, not a timed exclusive. It will only be available on Xbox One, Xbox 360 & PC— Larry Hryb (@majornelson) October 29, 2013
Not that this means Titanfall will remain exclusive as a series. Respawn Entertainment's very own Vince Zampella tweeted that the deal was EA's idea, but doesn't apply to future Titanfall games.
Always MS exclusive at launch, great partner and focus is good for a startup. EA made a deal for the rest, we only found out recently =(— Vince Zampella (@VinceZampella) October 29, 2013
