With fifteen days left before Call of Duty: Ghosts' launch on current generation consoles, Activision and Infinity Ward have released the game's launch trailer. We're talking over a dozen huge explosions in less than a minute of gameplay with Eminem's latest single laid over top. It's meant to be a fast reminder of the intensity and drama that the Call of Duty franchise is dedicated to creating... and it works oh so well.
Here's a quick pitch from the fine folks at Activision:
"Outnumbered and outgunned, but not outmatched. Call of Duty: Ghosts takes players to a world altered by a devastating mass event. Following an elite squad of soldiers known as the "Ghosts," lead the fight back against a newly emerged global power."
There's really not much else to say except that the game looks great. I wish I could play Call of Duty: Ghosts on Xbox One or PlayStation 4 first rather than Xbox 360, but beggars can't be choosers. I'll just have to upgrade when the consoles officially launch. I mean, we already know what sort of experience Call of Duty delivers, right? Let's not set our expectations too high. It knows what it is, it knows what fans want, and it delivers.
Call of Duty: Ghosts launches on November 5 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC and Wii U, with next-gen releases available on each console's release date. That's November 15 for the PlayStation 4 and November 22 for the Xbox One.
