	Log in to remove this advertisement Haven't tested it on Firefox or IE, but I'm sure Chrome is screwed up. Windows 7 is my OS. So this browser hijacker takes me to a Linkbucks site whenever I'm browsing through sites I commonly frequent, including Neo, as well as opening various pop up ads. Definitely a virus, but I can't find the source. Neither can avast or Microsoft Security Essentials, apparently. ------------------- Rune Factory 4

	If the malware bytes solution doesn't work out for you, you might want to try getting a trial of Norton/Kaspersky since their detection algorithms are generally superior to competitors. This might be one of those gray areas that Avast and MSE (not known to be the best protection) are incapable of detecting. 	You can also try Oshi Unhooker (http://download.cnet.com/Oshi-Unhooker/3000-2239_4-75806447.html?tag=mncol;1) It is not based on signatures so can disable all kinds of hijacks

	I had the same problem once and it was caused by a virus. I saved my bookmarks and uninstalled Chrome completely and deleted its folder from drive C then re-installed it. It worked!
