Seems like everyone using AVG is affected. I installed Avast! Antivirus and ran a scan which uncovered a corrupt .dll file. (avgcorex.dll) The path was: "Documents & Settings\all users\application data\avg8\update\backup\avgcorex.dll". Avast listed it as a Trojan! My O/S is Win 2K-Pro.
Let me know if you find the same, and if so please post for others. | |

Instructions didn't work for me. When I clicked to save the update (tried both left and right clicks) it tried to open the file and came back not connecting. Any other ideas? Thanks

Thanks a lot for the tip, my avg is working fine now. I was scared, i uninstalled my avg and installed again but i had the same problem until i decided to do a little research and found this. Im glad i wasnt the only one, again thanks a lot.
