Can anyone help with this?

Have you tried restarting your computer or reinitialising Explorer? If not, launch up Task Manager via CTRL+ALT+DEL and end the process entitled "explorer.exe". It should automatically relaunch. If it doesn't, run "explorer.exe" from the File dropdown.

The extra row of a few pixels on the taskbar denotes the fact that it is "unlocked" and is therefore resizable and movable. Right click on it to lock it again.

I've restarted my computer numerous times and nothing has changed. What would reinitializing Explorer do?

I usually have it locked it you look at the first screen... The only time I unlock it, is when I add/remove a quick launch shortcut

Anything else I could try?

Disable StyleXP, perhaps? I've not come across such a problem before!

I had it before, nothing happened. uninstalled it, then the problem started and I reinstalled it because I had to move a folder called "I363" or something like that out of Windows (the folder) I think to install style xp, when Style XP was uninstalled I forgot where to put the "I363" folder but I put it in Windows again and then it continued to happen. then a virus came and the taskbar windows disappeared about a day after the virus was on my computer and then I got rid of the virus and then I reinstalled Style XP because the taskbar windows were fine when I had Style XP.

Could it be the virus or could I somehow moved the line when I was playing around with the quick launch?
