Why do you do this to us Tango Gameworks? You are truly a despicable man, Shinji Mikami. The Evil Within's TGS 2013 trailer doesn't go out of its way to show off too much content, though it does feature a bad guy or two we've yet to see in action. Mostly the trailer shows off content shown during E3 demos and other recent events. Only one thing, they've done revisions -- it's even scarier now.
Considering how impactful the opening sequence was on me when I first saw it -- empty police cars, terrifying asylum in the middle of what should be a bustling city -- even small changes can be worrying. For instance, they added rain to the opening sequence, which at first is nothing significant, but oddly makes the entire scene much more disconcerting. Then additional small changes to cinematography only add the effect.
To sum it all up, The Evil Within and its developers are the devil.
The Evil Within is planned for release in 2014 for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PC. Want, but do not want.
