Altough I found FF1 to be a little scarier, I liked FF2's storyline better.

Both scare you in different ways so it depends. Fatal Frame 1 scares you more like they just POP out. So if u get scared that way then yea FF is really scare because it is soooo unpredictable. ------------------- To think that once I could not see beyond the veil of our reality, I was once a fool...

in terms of scare factor, id say the first..nothing beats being ALONE in a big japanese mansion with only a camera and a penlight inhand..even i would be scared let alone fight ghosts..so ff1 is scarier..but the story of ff2 is not too far from ff1(i played ff2 first then backtracked to ff1) and the twins are great and the ghosts are rendered well and got hell of scare as well on ff2

re: FF 1 or FF2? |
quote crimsonbutterfliesIt could have been just my game, but I got the xbox version of FF1 as well as the PS2 version and I was still getting glitched by ghosts. A little more than a mere coincidence if you ask me. One glitch that drove me up a wall was when I was clearly getting zero shots on a ghost (never mattered which ghost it was...) they wouldn't take any damage and then they'd corner me. The red circle always flashed when I got the ghost clearly in the damn thing and then they'd just ignore the fact that I pulled a damaging attack on them! WTF ghost! I got you! And believe me, I know if I've missed them. I'm not that stupid. Another one was funny though... This mostly happened to blinded, but sometimes broken neck would get this (serves her right...) I'd be battling her, and all of a sudden, she'd stop in a corner and just stand there. Sound effects blazing and all. So I'd rush over and start hitting her with zero shots. It was always the same corner (in the hallway near Sae's koto room) A few times, ghosts would not see the need for walls, and just attack me through them. Listen...I know you're ghosts and all...but wtf? If these were made to be a part of the gaming experience...I'm appalled by it. All of these things SEEM like glitches to me. The second and third games didn't have ANY of this stuff going on. Ghosts respected the fact that you got them in the red circle thing and you've pressed the appropriate button at the right time. AND they don't decide "Oh, well, this wall doesn't exist to me, so I'll be an ignorant bastard and just pop right through it at you" but I kinda wish they'd freeze in place at a specific spot to I could give 'em what's coming to them. I've never like FF1...the glitches were only half the problem.

Yeah, I never experienced any glitches in FF1 either, but moving on... ------------------- ![]() "The stars predict tomorrow you'll wake up, do a bunch of stuff, and then go back to sleep."
