A few questions:

In the spellbook, it speaks of "secret ingredients"- what are they, and where can they be found?

How do you get a beanstalk to grow, and is there anything special you can do with it?

What is the trick to making crystals grow? I've gotten one thus far, but can't get any more....

i have the beanstalk. and all i did was leave it alone and it grew by itself.

how did you get the bean stalk and does it really lead to lot 99

i don't know if it leads to lot 99 yet. mine is still growing. as soon as i find out i'll let you know. i hate to say it but i bought the stalks from a add on from http://sims.kelsha.net/ i couldn't wait to get it naturally through hard work in the game.

To get it is just doing spells and that. If you do more, more magical stuff comes to your lot. If you had the time to read the manual then you'll know.

mine is really tall now and it should lead to lot 99 soon (if that is true)

Who reads the manuals i just like to start playing the game and can you really just download them casue if you can that would be great

I really don't know why you don't. It really helps you alot and answers probably most of the questions asked in the forum. Like "How to..." And "Can I...."

Did anyone ever find out what the "secret ingrediants" were. My guess is that it has to do with the "brick", "the bananna of doom" and/or the "golden apple". If anyone has a info, please share....or suffer my wrath.

secret ingredients have nothing to do w/ the banana of doom or the golden apple exept for how u use them. GO to magic town click on one of the magic vendors. Select the "talk to" option. when you talk to them they will give u a task or a challenge. once u complete the challenge go talk to them again and they will give u an item that u cannot normally buy from the vendors. you can also use the "barter" option and they will trade you stuff.

I've so far managed to get all the 'rare ingredients', at least those that are listed in the spells and charms in the spellbook, except diamond dust. How/where/from whom can a sim get diamond dust??
Edit: aha, I just read I can buy it from Mara's stall (like I expected) and it costs 199 coins! Wow, the result of that spell had better be good .

Another question though: what are those spells involving black roses and the like? They aren't in the spellbook - or do more unknown spells show up in there once you've mastered all 29?
