Wednesday's announcement of the PlayStation 4 was rather intense in terms of the ideals behind the console's hardware, but in regards to the actual components? Pretty lacking. "Supercharged PC Architecture" sounds good on paper, but what does that really mean? Well, apparently it means a single-chip custom processor that packs up an 8-core AMD "Jaguar" CPU and an AMD Radeon GPU that turns out 1.84 TFLOPS. Not bad.

While a majority of the information here isn't necessarily surprising, after all these specs have been floating around as rumor for quite some time now, it's good to have something official. Even if it's just "a Radeon-based graphics engine" rather than a specific model we can refer to, that's enough for us to draw more specific conclusions off of.

Nothing really surprising on the list, though the "built-in hard drive" might disappoint a few people who like the idea of being able to expand their storage. Notice anything else that may be worth noting?
