The description on Square Enix's latest ambiguous teaser site reads, "What is the hardest case to solve?" Oddly enough, it's a riddle I must have heard back on Nickelodeon's Are You Afraid of the Dark?, because I know the hardest case to solve is your own murder. Fitting then that the URL is "Murdered.com". Murdered is Square Enix's latest title and looks to be coming to XBLA, PSN and PC later this year.
Really there's not much else to be said. I gathered the platforms from a handy button at the bottom the web page and we can assume the game will be released before September, since that's the "next-gen deadline" for games unwilling to compete with Microsoft's and Sony's upcoming launch lineup.
I guess there's a cool pavement chalk drawing you can check out in the header image? It looks sort of like a bell, or maybe an awkward sort of broom or dress, but there's also some squiggles in weird places. The Murdered Twitter even has the emblem as their avatar image. I assume it's meant to reference either a person having died or some simple graffiti. Need more information.
Off the back of The Vanishing of Ethan Carter's announcement, I'm all for another creepy detective game. Bring it on, Square Enix. I can't wait to hear more about what Murdered really is.
