I like her, I think she works. In solo que however, she doesn't roam particularly well, which is a nice advantage to have. However she should win her lane in most situations, and in team fights becomes a terror. AoE slow every four seconds, knockback and 1.5 second stun, and a huge nuke to an individual person, which either kills them or takes them out of the fight.

I don't think I've lost a game as Syndra yet...I've only played around 10, but still.

Her poke range is more threatening than Orianna's, which in itself practically makes her viable.

With all of her other abilities being AoE, a single nuke ultimate is acceptable for me. There's really not a case in which you'd use it without any other orbs on the field, so it always has more damage than people including yourself would expect.

The cooldown on Scatter is a tad long, but that's what balances it. It's an incredible ability that can initiate and counter-initiate a fight so well. Spawning three orbs infront of you and using scatter sending three potential stuns into your enemy? That's pretty flippin' wicked.

I've got a bit of a raging boner for her right now, and other AP's do offer more in other ways, but I'd consider her a do-it-yourself champion, where through-out the game and even in team fights you're doing your own thing, which in Solo Que when organization can be stressful to achieve, is great.

The extremely important exception to this is when you're getting caught by an enemy semi-squishy, with a champion such as Lux or Anivia you can 100-0 your enemy before they kill you which allows you to not only get away but also make a play. Syndra can't do that because she relies on balls to be on the field so what would happen is you either stun your opponent and slow them (best case scenario) or die while taking them low, or just straight up die. In pretty much all other situations Syndra is fine, especially for getting 1v1 kills in lane or 1v2 kills/escapes when you get ganked.

No, that wouldn't work. You'd be dead by the time your Q is up again, that's the problem. Her farming is easymode, alot like Karthus so if you play 100% in lane/wraiths you'll be fine. If you ever want to do anything other than that you're probably screwed.

I think Syndra just has too high of a skillfloor, with comparatively low benefits to playing her as best as possible.She isn't like Lee Sin, where the most that he's capable of is limited only by the player's ingenuity.

On top of that, she doesn't have any mobility, which is kind of big deal nowadays. Granted, she has more general cc than Karth or Cass, but I'd still rather have an Ori or Ahri mid.

Apparently Syndra is/was top tier jungler on PBE. The jungle creeps would attack her balls ( ) and you could even solo drag at level 3 or something.
