**SPOILERS** The Ponds (Angels take Manhatten)

Are they gone forever?

I think it was a really nice homage to the fate that became of T. Davies' first companion, Rose. The Ponds didn't necessarily die, but entered a time / place where the Doctor would no longer be able to visit them. Much like Rose being sucked into Pete's world. We all know Rose has made several appearances since then (most notably in Journey's End) so is it at all possible that the Ponds may also make a return? Or will they fill a hole that Torchwood has left in the Fandom can garner their own spin off? We all know those who travel with the Doctor are neigh on incapable of returning to a normal life. Martha joined UNIT, Donnoa forgot her travels with the Doctor, Rose lives with the Doctor-Donna Metacrisis Doctor, and Jack went on to be a key figure in Torchwood.

Do you think this was the last time we'll see the Ponds and their story and leaving legacy will be "Together until the end" or do you think they'll come back in any way, shape or form? Would you want them to come back?

Nevertheless, the ending of Angels Take Manhattan was heart warming and incredibly sad, but a fantastic ending for, so far, two of my favourite companions

I enjoyed the episode, quite a lot of emotion was put into it, I'm glad they didn't make the statue of liberty a central part of the story as that would have ruined it quite a lot for me. I like their explanation of how so many weeping angels existed there. did the paradox event poison them and change the events where they didn't take over? The show had quite the ending, I wonder if they will be living a relatively normal life, it would be quite rare for a companion to do so and Donna living one only happened because she forgets everything about the Doctor tough he did give her a lottery ticket.

I do hope they don't return as that would be poor writing to me as they put a lot of effort into it to show how far they would go to be with each other /save the other to bring them back after all that would be disappointing.

I cried like a bitch. They're definitely gone forever though. Going back would destroy New York, and the Doctor would never risk it. What got me the most was the "And His loving wife: Amelia Williams."

It was a brilliant ending. Her going back for him was beautiful. And when they jumped too. ;-;

I can imagine that we'll only see archived footage of the Ponds at least by the time of The Doctor's next regeneration when he's looking back on his life so far.

I quite liked the episode. I was just skeeved that they never clarified WHY exactly the Doctor couldn't go back and get them.
