Killer in Dead's release date has been sort of up in the air. The game is being published by Kadokawa Games in Japan, Deep Silver in Europe, Sony in Asia, and Xseed Games in North America. Hooray for Xseed, because they've come through and announced Killer is Dead will in fact be launching August 27. On top of that Xseed confirmed a ton of bonus content that would ship with all initial launch copies of the game. Bravo, guys!
Here's a list of the bonus content that will be released with Killer is Dead at Launch
- 80-page hardcover art book
- Soundtrack CD with 25 songs
- "Smooth Operator" DLC pack
Here's a quote from Xseed President Shinichi Suzuki on their inclusion of all the bonus content with all launch copies of the game:
"We are looking forward to the upcoming release of KILLER IS DEAD with a special art book, soundtrack CD and bonus DLC. Fans have been very supportive, which we’re extremely grateful for, so everyone who has pre-ordered the game or buys it at launch will get a deluxe version for no extra charge."
One thing that's been oddly left out of Xseed information about Killer is Dead is whether the game will feature both English and Japanese audio tracks. A feature which has already been confirmed to be included in the European and Asian releases of the game, oddly enough.
Then again, basically everything about Killer is Dead is rather odd. Look forward to Killer is Dead's release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on August 27, 2013 in North America.
