Square Enix, as per their teaser site, revealed the iOS exclusive title Final Fantasy: All The Bravest today. A cute semi-RPG that seems to be more about unlocking unreasonably large parties than any actual turn-based RPG mechanics or story. Still, if fans are looking for a quirky way to pass the time then you could do worse than All The Bravest.
According to the details unveiled today, All The Bravest will allow you to make a party full of a selection of over 20 different classic Final Fantasy classes. Each will bring their own abilities to the fight, but they also must each be unlocked by playing through the game. Other, more famous characters can be unlocked through the game's premium store.
After forming a party, adventuring involves moving from level to level battling monster after monster, with a boss at the end of each. All The Bravest uses an Active Time Battle system, where once a character's gauge fills up they can perform an actual. At that point, all that's necessary it a tap or swipe on them and they'll do their thing. The trick is, you can accrue a party of ridiculous size, so maximizing damage output may not be as easy as it sounds.
Of course there will be monsters, stages, music and an assortment of other content from everything Final Fantasy, and more available via premium purchases. Add in the standard leaderboards you've got yourself a typical, kind of underwhelming iOS experience. Nonetheless, it could be a fun time waster, and it will only cost $3.99 so why not? Look for Final Fantasy: All The Bravest on the iOS store starting tomorrow.
