That's fine. Next time maybe you could try just shrugging off differing opinions and show out front that it's subjective. You just sound forceful saying "it's a disgrace at the least" and "my blind dog could do better" without giving any solid reasons besides what comes down to "it's shit". Arguing over the quality of stupid subjective shit can be fun, but not when one side just keeps saying "nah, you're wrong, it's shit" without actually giving solid reasons. Plus, just saying "it's shit" tends to have most people look down on you and dismiss any possibility of your opinion being worthwhile.

Personally, I'm indifferent to it's design. It's alright.

Here's something new to chew on.

It being a new 'Love' type is gaining a lot of steam.
What with that whole 'new bond mechanic', Paris being the city of love, the fact that it was revealed so close to Valentines day. As well as stuff like it's design.

Interesting little idea, I must say.

Nintendo just uploaded this. Ninfia is called Sylveon. Still no news on what type it is.

I enjoyed the panning of the camera angle and seeing how great the background looks.

It isn't necessarily fire, and since it doesn't make sense for it to be another fire type it could be anything. And it still looks like feathers.

Sylveon also disappears into the energy ball, so its some kind of supercharged tackling move. Like I said earlier, reminds me of Brave Bird.

I've looked at heaps of different posts about Sylveon (Ninfia) and I kinda doubt that they'll bring in a new type (always possible though GameFreak has done crazy things in the past) My thoughts were bug, flying or dragon.
Flying, because that is the one it looks most like out of all the types and bug and dragon because of the Ninfea Waterlily. Both bugs and Dragonflies hang around areas the Waterlilies tend to grow (swamps and ponds etc.) and Sylveon/Ninfia does have characteristics that could sort of fit either.

I think the most likely will be Dragon (and that would explain the fireball shown in the clip)

Though the name Sylveon could indicate something different, possibly deriving from the Latin word sylvestris meaning wild or silva meaning wood or forest and also leads to the possibility that Ninfia is derived from Nymph and not the water lily Ninfea. Though using this logic my opinion that it is Bug, Flying or Dragon still stands as they are the only existing types that have not been used for Eeveelutions that fit this explanation. The only other one that may fit is fighting, but I doubt that is the case.

Another thing that points to Dragon Type (assuming GameFreak are actually going to follow patterns) is that it is a Special Attack type rather than a Physical Attack type, and all other Eeveelutions are of Special Attack type. Dragon is also the ONLY Special Attack type not used as an Eeveelution. The "Fireball" doesn't look fiery. I would guess these are the attacks used:

Focus blast OR Aura sphere
Trump Card
Charge OR Solar beam (taking in light)
Swift

What part of that or its appearance screams Dragon type...?

Also if it was Sylfeon then it might be flying type. If it is in fact Sylveon then it's still unclear but Sylva or Sylvan relates to forests and nature. Obviously not a grass type but maybe it's a protector of the forest with Xerneas or something. OR there's Sylviinae - "alternative classification for the Old World warblers" which could refer to singing - Sing - Jigglypuff - still seems Normal type to me though.

Jus' a random theory I made for it being Light-type:
Japanese: Ninfia (Nymph - Greek for female nature spirits)
French: Nymphali (same Nymph as Japanese)
German: Feelinara (Fee - German for fairy)
A spirit could point to being Light-type, and being a nature spirit, nature, or in other words Plants and other living things, can only live due to the Sun, which is our main source of Light. Fairy is also Light imo.

This one shows the most though, which is English/Spanish/Italian: Sylveon. So, Silver - as in from the element silver. Quick glance at silver on wikipedia...

Highest Thermal Conductivity: Heat, and Light has the uncanny ability to make things hot eg the sun so basically is heat.

They seem to be organised into box groups on this. Vaporeon, Flareon, Glaceon and Leafeon are arranged as if they were each the right angle of a square, and each have a type based off a common element.
Do the same with the other four and you get the guys who aren't technically proper elements, Jolteon, Umbreon, Espeon and Sylveon. Directly up from Sylveon is Jolteon, which is Electric-type, which is the Highest Electrical Conductivity from the wiki in play. The other two are parts of the 'special' group of types like Ghost and such, and Light will fall under that category presumably.

So yeah, Light-type confirmed ftw
