It wouldn't be the first time a Pokémon has had its typing changed, so why couldn't it be done again? There's nothing saying that a new type would have to be limited to just new additions in the sixth generation. That could combat the issue of a type shortage. 	Battling purists are going to whinge about it because it will mean they have another type to memorize. If it does happen just get over it, you may even LIKE the new type. -_- I think a new type would be a great idea, though for it to work, it will have to also apply to a lot of Pokemon that are already out. Having a new type introduced when there are over 700 Pokemon and only about 8 of them are the new type, there's no real point is there? I could see Sound/Sonic working well since there are already Pokemon that specialize in using "sound" attacks such as growl, howl, hyper voice, uproar, sing, perish song. Pokemon that could possibly fall into this category include Igglypuff/Jigglypuff/Wigglytuff, Whismur/Loudred/Exploud, Chatot, Kricketot/Kricketune, Meloetta, etc > MS Mod Edit: Feb 22, 13 2:23pm by Kubrick -------------------

	Atomic/Genetic type! Ive always wanted pokemon of this type, capable pf splitting atoms, creating changing genetc codes and things like that! i'd think deoxys,ditto and mew would be this type! They'd be neutral to anything, except poison, and poison is super effective against them, as they represent disease and things!

	Something like a Cyber type would be a type that our current ones don't really cover. I mean we have Steel and Electric but it's not really the same.

I would like to come up with some moves too, any ideas?

Water vs Fire, Ground vs Fire, Flying vs Fighting, Ice vs Grass, Electric nullified by Ground etc. but what would be the logical advantages for or against light (other than dark) and sound. obviously some typing advantages are not so logical e.g. Bug vs Psychic (there may be a reason, but im not sure) personally i want a physical version of Hidden Power AND a Rock/Ice type, so Steel finally has a 4x effectiveness against a pokemon. Light would be strong against Dark and Ghost (since Light eliminates darkness and ghosts are always tied to night), and be weakened by Water, Ice and Steel (which can reflect, and refract light) Sound would be strong against Fighting and Psychic (because noise breaks concentration which both martial artists and psychics value greatly) and it would be weak against Water, Steel and Ground (which all absorb and disperse vibration) Also keep in mind that bugs are drawn to light and repelled by sound Sound>Bug>Light and dragons in many mythological tales are drawn to the songs of maidens and are usually defeated by some kind of divine weapon tied to light Light>Dragon>Sound This message was merged with other messages by Mouldy Cheese (moderator)

	Why do so many people think that psychic is nearly the same as light. I think the ghost and dark types are more related to each other than psychic and light. Psychic is about foretelling and reading someone's mind, while light is about bundled colours etc. I would like to see new types!
