The Froakie evolution Kanon posted last page is amazing. I was going to pick Froakie anyways, but that would pretty much confirm it.

There's no way they can make another fire/fighting starter this time around. As we can see by most of the fanart, everyone seems used to the same combination for the fire starter.

Not how i wanted it entirely but close enough:
How i'd like the Fire starter to end up ;P

If that's what Fennekin's evolutions really looked like, then I know who i'll be using on my second run-through. xD That fanart is awesome, and it actually looks legit, unlike some other kinds of fanart that you see around. Where'd you find it? o:

He found it in my post, and I found it on the chans, and they probably found it at either Deviantart or Pixiv.

Oh.... I figured he posted it since the quote doesn't have an originator. But anyways, yeah. It's awesome.

The color scheme kinda reminds me of Floatzel though.

Look at Dratini..

Dratini actually looks like a mythical dragon still. But I doubt that a pokemon based on a fox will evolve into something that strikingly resemble a lion.

Oh god, if Chespin and Froakie turned out like that it would be glorious. I'm not too sold on that Fennekin final, but at least it gets points for not being Fire/Fighting.
