The budget cap has got to be done, though the way they are kind of springing it on the teams is bad. They should give some notice, like say they are imposing one in 2011 or something. The amount of money some of the teams spend is astronomical, and its worth remembering that it wasn't too long ago that teams were spending way less than £40m per season. I remember the computer game grand prix manager 2 (1996) had total budgets of about 20m for the top teams (Benetton and Williams at the time). Not sure how realistic that was, but it just goes to show that its fairly recently with manufacturers like BMW, Toyota and Honda just chucking money at the sport and getting *bleep* all in return that its gone nuts. Its also worth noting that its only in the last decade that Ferrari have got returns on their enormous investments of money.

God Max Mosely should back out, he obviously doesn't give a toss about f1 if he is going to let this happen.

I want Button to win and I don't if you know what I mean. Would be nice to see Webber or Barrichello win for obvious reasons. Hell I'd love it if a Williams won but that is unlikely. Well done to Nakajima qualifying P5. Ahead of Button!

Yeah, lets hope Vettel can keep things interesting in the Championship. It looks like he definitely has the quickest car at his disposal now, but unfortunately for him he has a more competitive teammate who is more likely to knick points off him than Button does.

What does everyone think of the BBC's coverage btw?

I think Jake Humphrey is superb tbh, really didn't think he'd be any good, and EJ and DC are a million miles better than Blunders on ITV, even if EJ does reminisce about his Jordan Racing days far too much.

Martin Brundle and Ted Kravitz are as good as ever and Lee McKenzie is nicer to look at and hence better than Louise Goodman, but the guy who lets it down is the Reverend Legard. I never thought I'd hear myself say this, but bring back James Allen.

I can't be the only one who's tired of hearing about 'tidy laps', people 'winding themselves up', 'incredible' and 'Brawn from Brawn from Red Bull from Toyota etc etc'.
