Cyberpunk 2077, the next RPG experience from Witcher studio CD Projekt RED, got its very first trailer today. Well, it's really more of a teaser, but consider your minds soon-to-be blown. The purpose behind this brief CG clip is to introduce us to Psycho Squad, officially known as the Maximum Force Tactical Division, and their unusual means of recruitment.
See, in the universe of Cyberpunk, augments are a big thing, but as people over-modify their bodies, these augments begin to rebel against the organic, including their host bodies and others around them. We need more. Holy crap, do we need more of this. CD Projekt is prepping for a big reveal on February 5 that actually isn't about Cyberpunk, but for now, feel free to replay the trailer several times over, because the devs hid plenty of little tidbits throughout from the tabletop RPG. That's right, everything from emblems to weapons ought to tickle a Cyberpunk fan's fancy.
CD Projekt did mention that they will be making a proper trailer later, since this is intended to really be a teaser. As it stands, Cyberpunk 2077 is fairly far away from completion, namely because the developer is still looking to expand their 2077 team; interested parties can email them about it at firstname.lastname@example.org.
