And SURE it's probably handy against bosses but it takes about five seconds of not being touched to charge and you can't move while charging so you'll either be dead already or constantly smacked while charging. Not to mention it fires a beam that is incredibly thin...I give this piece of shit 1/10."

Obviously, that dude's argument is more *bleep*ed up than I thought. Ok, here's the deal:

The P.R.L. is the strongest gun in the game (alongside the Rocket Launcher), it has two shots: The Flash Shot, just shoot it, and it works like a flash grenade (people will be blinded, exposed Plagas will be killed) and the Charged Shot, which needs LESS THAN 5 SECONDS TO CHARGE, and it will kill any and everything the Beam goes through.

Even though the P.R.L 412 bores the crap out of me I totally disagree with that over-reaction, by the way he talks about it being exclusive to the PS2 version of the game, it makes me think he's another GC fan boy. A lot of them, if they had the choice would deny the existence of the PS2 version.}

is pro mode hard?

not that im new to it, but ive got my typewriter and infinite launcher, so i was wanting to know what the differences were.

Actually, Pro mode is Very Hard Mode. You can't bring your things like Chicago Typewriter there. Only if you've beaten this game mode once.

yeah, i had trouble when i first played pro mode.

Well, Pro mode is basically the same thing as any other mode except that once you've hit, you take more damage. That's alright in the start. The only thing that I really get some time is that giant fish creature in the lake. I didn't know that low HP makes Leon slower. So i get much healing items and go back and just pass it.

The key to pro is survival. it just takes some actual planing sometimes to work. It took me alot of deaths before i beat pro. I can beat pro with not much difficulty now but you never know when your going to get 1 hit by something for no reason. Like the spike plagas do insane damage in the start. But the p.r.l 412 is a really nice exclusive. its just slow on draw you can really expect a weapon with infinate ammo and 1 hit kill to have like 1.00 instant kill all the time.

Hehehe..don't worry once you've beaten pro mode you could have Chicago Typewrite and be a god.

It may take some times. It took me somewhere almost 15 hours to beat Pro mode.

i think it took me around that time also and i hate when people complain about the PRL is a dumb reward for pro mode.

It basically shows you are the master at the game, and if you have beat the hardest mode, then you deserve it, would be pointless handing you it at the end of easy mode
