When doing a new game, what are your usual weapons that you buy along the game, or what were your first run weapons???

My first run:

Handguns:
Handgun - Punisher(medallions)

Shotguns:
Shotgun - Striker(castle sewers merchant)

Rifles:
None(can you believe it, i dont know how i got through the regenerators)

Magnums:
Killer7(cant remember but when it first came out)

Other:
TMP(Valley merchant)
Rocket Launcher(Verdugo, Salazar)

My normal runs now:

Handguns:
Handgun - Blacktail(1st Castle merchant)

Shotguns:
Shotgun - Striker(Castle sewers merchant)

Rifles:
Semi-auto Rifle(1st Castle merchant)

Magnums:
Broken Butterfly(Free!)

Other:
TMP(Valley merchant)
Rocket Launcher(Verdugo, Salazar)

Well, before I started my "other" runs that I talked about here already, here's what I do as far as weapons goes.

Start out with the handgun (obviously).

Take the shotgun from the house in the village.

When I get to the first merchant I buy the rifle (which I keep for the entire game) and the TMP.

I keep the handgun until the red9 is available to buy.

When I get to chapter 3-1, I usually sell the red9 and buy the blacktail (which I keep the entire game).

I then get the free BB.

I then sell my shotgun for the striker (which I keep the entire game)

I usually sell the TMP sometime before the final fight with Saddler.

Start out with the Handgun. Then I get the shotgun in the house. Then I get all the medallions and get the free punisher and sell it and get more money for upgrades to the Shotgun and Handgun, just improving the power and capacity. Then I sell the Handgun for the Red9 and upgrade that all the way and keep it. Then I sell the Shotgun for the Riot Gun, but I won't do that anymore, no point. I sell the Riot or Shot for the Striker and do that all the way and keep. I keep the TMP and only upgrade the capacity and I get the Semi-Auto.

So in other words.

Handgun-Red 9
Shotgun-Striker
Rifle-Semi-Auto
TMP
magnum-None when you already have semi-Auto to kill fast and the shotgun. The killer 7 is useless because a shotgun could do it as easy and faster and BB does the job way better as it's powerful.

I just run around with the Broken Butterfly, Blacktail, Riotgun, Semi Auto and a few grenades..

I've been through with almost everything. I'm about to start a round 1 run using the blacktail (the only thing I haven't used on round 1 yet).
My usual set includes:
Handgun
Striker
Broken Butterfly
Rifle (Semi-auto)
Rocket Launcher (Verdugo)

i normally end the game with:

Red9
Striker
Rifle SM
Killer7
TMP.

Same like others , I start the game earlier with the handgun, then progress with the shotgun and then rifle. I get through the game later on by using the standard upgraded (exclusive) handgun & rifle. I only change my shotgun once to Striker after I sell my standard Shotgun. During amidst of the chapter 3 (exactly on Garden Maze mission) I bought the TMP with the only reason (at the first place) to fight the badass doggies in the garden. But later on, I got stuck with the TMP's powerful "hidden" abilities and end up the games with the said weapons. This is mine (according to regularly used):-

Exclusive Rifle (Standard)
Striker
Exclusive Pistol @ Handgun
Broken Butterfly

Personally, I hate rifles, especially the BAR coz its way too slow.

Soon im gonna do a unusual run, with all the guns ive hardly played with:

Red9
Riot Gun
Bolt Action Rifle
Mine-Thrower
Killer7

the guns i use are..

9mm: red9
rifle: semi auto
magnum: broken butterfly
shotgun: striker
random: tmp,rocket launcher and flash bombs
i love these weapons !!!

Handgun and no upgrading until I get Punisher. Fully up grade power and capacity

Free shotgun and only up grade power and capacity

My next purchase is the TMP. Even fully upgraded for power it is a bit weak, it makes up in firing speed and the ability to pump alot of rounds into an enemy quickly. Also it is a good gun to get alot of ammo when you upgrade capacity. Ammo is also plentiful. I use the TMP to kill Salazar Boss

I wait to get the Seni auto rifle,and fully upgrade power and capacity.

I sell shotgun and buy Striker when it comes around.

When I rescue Ashley in the castle . I backtrak and get the free Broken Butterfly. I fully upgrade this gun. A BB with full power will kill most bosses in 4 shots

I purchase rocketlaunchers as needed to kill "El Gigantes"
These strategies have proved useful on normal and Pro

PS//I know they aren't guns but well used grenades are hard to beat for 'mass kills' and the trusty Knife to save ammo

first time through i went more or less buy everything (that was bad cause i never had the money to upgrade anything past level 2 or 3).

now i go get blacktail asap sell handgun then upgrade shotgun a bit get tmp for the first El Gigante get the rifle cause i love it when i plagas pops out of a granados' head (1hit kill) keep the rifle and up gradfe that when i have the cash
get red9 asap never bought rocketlauncher just used temp/shotgun combo for Gigantes till i get the free BB then upgrade that to max i love killing salazzer in 4 hits and when i get the chance get the striker.

I really like using the bolt action rifle a lot.

everytime I get the broken butterfly I sell it to the merchant to upgrade my TMP

I used to have the Red 9 as my primary weapon, but now I use the Chicago Typewriter as my main.
Then there's the striker for blowing back armored enemies, the semi-auto rifle for of course, sniping, and the infinite ammo rocket launcher for bosses, or just for fun. XD
