The EA Sports motto is "If it's in the game, it's in the game." I couldn't agree more. At first glance, the player ratings seems skewed too low. But as you play the game it seems the players perform at their real life level. For example, last year Derrick Fisher wouldn't miss a jumper. Now he only hits the wide open jumpers, just like the real D Fisher! Don't just look at the numbers. Play with the players, then determine if the rating are too low.

Have you noticed any inconsistancies with the ratings?

Not much really. I wanted to see LaBron James rated better being a Cavs fan but he is a monster when you play with him. He drives the lane REAL well and draws alot of fouls. I must say the fouls are much more realistic then in the last NBA live I bought back in 2002.

I agree I can dominate with leBron. A triple double isnt very hard to do with him. Ive had 2 in 4 pre season games with him.

Player ratings are low in this game because the rating system in it is lower than in NBA 2K4. fOR EXAMPLE: Peja stojakovic is rated 71 here, In 2K4 he is rated 85.

C-Webb is rated 86 here and in 2K4 he is rated 93.

I only got one problem, how does Shaq have *bleep*in 99 Field Goal range? Don't bother changing it though to a more reasonable level because theres a glitch that makes him all skinny if you do.

Sometimes though when I drive to the basket and I get hit while going up I rarely get a foul, its a good thing they added sliders so you can raise the frequency on how often they call fouls on certain things.

Yeah, One of the flaws of this game is that it isn't that much realistic but it sure is fun as hell!

Hey the rating's are lower but play like in real life.An example is t-mac can shoot three's all day even in the other player's face but not in 2003.so it's an improvement,also his normal fg is less than the 3 point fg weird!

I am the mavs in dynasty and Micheal Finley always misses dunks...and never misses 3 pointers, yet his 3 point rating isn't that good...would that be classed a glitch..?!?

yup,micheal finely isn't that nice from 3-point until the 3rd quarter,but even than he sucks.

All he can do is shoot. Even he can't play defense. Mavs are really struggling right now.

a double-double is when you get 10+ pts AND 10+ rebounds or assists.

a triple double is when you get 10+ pts, 10+ rebounds and
10+ assists

Don't forget steals and blocks.Any statistical category except turnovers and fouls.
