challenge [Challenge] Extreme LLM Challenge - Page 17

After having a break away from my game I have powered on and have struggled so much. Mid-way through March and we're rock bottom, the Blue Square North has proven to be a step too far for my plucky St. Helens side but we're still in with a shot of survival. 8 games left in the season and we're 3 points off safety which is now the aim. Also on a good run having won our last 3 games, something we hadn't achieved all season (hadn't won back-to-back before it). Brought in a striker, Ercan Eyuboglu who was released by Oldham and will hopefully help Titchener with the goals to keep us up. Also brought in Mark Hingley from Shrewsbury (CD), Jordan Fagbola from Stockport & Brice Ntambwe from Fleetwood (CM) all on loan to help in the business end of the season. Tense times.

Im currently leighton town, they start div 8 in the southern div one central! in 2016/17, in blue square south, struggling in the league however i am in the 3rd round of the fa cup against doncaster, beating afc wimbledon and northampton on the way! now need topush for playoffs

Transfers

Made a number of changes as I quickly learned that the team was not cut out for this level. Joey Collewijn, Reiss Lee, Tyrone Crapper and Jon Hunt, who had all been at the club since my first season all left and I expect several more players I brought in to leave. We had to wait quite late in the season before we could bring in some good loan players and they proved massively invaluable. 

Not going to bother with the cup competitions in this update, or players because it was a 'disappointing' season, and I say that meaning we weren't successful and there were only about 2 players worthy of a mention. I will once again mention Alex Titchener though, who once again finished our top goalscorer and despite a disappointing season, he still bagged 18 goals. Our version of God.

Like I said it was a disappointing season with the fact that we didn't win anything or challenge, but I'm still immensely proud of my lads. We defied all the odds and fought back from a 10 point deficit with about 15 games left to stay up after a draw on the final day. Doubt we would've done it without the loan signings and I can't thank them enough. Now we must look to strengthen and hopefully repeat the feat next season.

peterdaddy he's not on my save. In my 5th season now so perhaps he's retired? Anyway, I'd already brought in Jesse Darko who has been outastanding so far since his release from Chesterfield. Also managed to sign a 37 year old Kevin Lisbie!  His stats look very good for this level but he's naturally lacking in pace but will only be a backup anyway. In the end I've had to bring in a new GK, RB, CDx2 and STx2 as well as a LB & RB on loan. Still need another 2 CD's though and maybe a LM, although James Joyce can play there.

Made a good start to the season and we find ourselves 6th after 8 games. Our record stands at W4 D2 L2 which is an improvement from last season's W2 D4 L2 (although it all went downhill from that point for a good few months(. Also finally got a (should be) easy draw in the FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round with Skelmersdale so we should finally advance in this competition. Finally, I'm still on an amateur contract and it's starting to wind me up. After all I've done for this club and I'm not even getting paid  They won't even give me a Parent Club because "they don't have the funds". Isn't the point of it to bring in extra income?

Also, it doesn't matter if I bring in Messi, this guy is the greatest thing to ever happen to this club.

EDIT: Beat Skelmersdale 6-0, Facey grabbing 4 and Robbie Giggs with the other 2. Also, a mother*bleep*ing 10! 

Well our current strikeforce of Alex Titchener and Jesse Darko have amassed 16 goals in a collective 26 games, so we're looking very strong 

Talked to the board and they've said they'll offer me a new contract but it's been a month and no contact. Might leave to teach them a lesson, but I'm really enjoying this save again. Lost a few games to crash dumps so neither Giggs or Facey scored as we didn't play Skelmersdale, but faced a trip to Southport instead. We won 2-1 and then beat AFC Fylde 1-0 in the 3rd Qualifying Round. We now play Barrow at home in the next round which, if I remember correctly is the final qualifying round before the FA Cup properly starts. Up into 3rd which is insane, had hoped for a top-half finish at best and despite only 12 games gone, it's gone better than I could have hoped. Really need a CM for a few months as we have Beech and Kasler both out for a while, trying for a 3 month loan of Lee Mansell but he might be a bit too high-profile.

Honestly my greatest comeback on any FM. After that result we've dropped out of the play-offs after 3 games without a win, that being our first point earned in those games. As you can clearly see we need major defensive improvements but we did have a weakened team having had to play just 2 days earlier. We're only a point off the play-offs after 24 games and 8 points off top and the automatic promotion spot which still isn't out of our grasp if we hit a good run, but we really need to stop conceding all these goals. That's now 10 in 3 matches and while we've scored the most goals out of anyone this season, we've conceded the 9th most.

After the first season I got promoted and was a favored person on my teams list, yet after the second season and back to back promotions I have been taken off? ungrateful bastards haha
